Set up hosting and domains
If you haven't already purchased your web hosting or domain, then I can happily sort this out for you.
My personal choice, and recommendation, for web hosting and domains is WESH UK. Their hosting is fast and rock-solid, with a friendly, knowledgable, quick-to-respond support team.
What Is Web Hosting
In order for your website to be accessible to people across the globe, 24 hours a day, it must be held on a high-performance computer, that is always on, and connected to a fast internet connection. These computers are known as a servers.
Web hosting is the fee of 'renting' a server, and in return the web hosting company will maintain and run it for you.
What Are Domains?
A domain is the 'address' you use in your web browser to visit a website. For example: google.com, wikipedia.org or tiptapdesign.co.uk.
To use a domain for your website, you must first register it. If a domain has already been registered, then it has been 'taken'. If you wish to acquire a 'taken' domain, you can wait in hope that the owner will not renew its registration, or you can make an offer to the owner in exchange for it.
